The two-day program, held in Lagos, aimed to explore how artificial intelligence, transformational leadership, and responsible innovation can enhance governance, institutional performance, and public service delivery. The initiative underscores UoK's commitment to fostering African-led solutions for leadership and development challenges.

Participants focused on aligning leadership, policy, institutional capacity, data, and accountability to achieve meaningful transformation, rather than solely on technology. Key areas covered included AI literacy, emotional intelligence, transformational leadership, economic transformation, and responsible AI governance, encompassing data protection, transparency, and accountability.

The masterclass incorporated a practical approach, encouraging participants to identify service delivery challenges within their agencies and consider how emerging technologies and effective leadership could address them. Rwanda's experience with results-oriented governance and performance contracting, as well as the Zipline Rwanda case study on healthcare delivery, were used to illustrate practical knowledge exchange and successful implementation strategies.

This initiative highlights the growing role of African universities in cross-border executive education and public-sector capacity development. It emphasizes that successful digital transformation relies on capable institutions, effective partnerships, responsible governance, and sustained execution, in addition to innovative technologies.
