We rewrite. We do not invent figures. A claim that is not in a named document does not belong in the copy.
Desk copy
Every story is written on this desk. Facts come from a named document: a ministry notice, a company filing, or a local report. We do not paste the originating text.
No invented facts
Headcounts, FDI, production, and budget totals that lack a primary source stay out of the copy. Stable institutional facts (capital, language, currency) may be stated and linked to a government page.
Quotes
Quotes have a speaker, a role, and a date. A desk editor ships the story.
Article illustrations
Article art on this masthead is illustration. It is never presented as a photograph of a real event or a real person, and it is never used as evidence for a claim in the copy.
